1. What Meutch Is

Meutch is a free, nonprofit, open-source platform for sharing and borrowing items within your community. It is run by volunteers and provided as a service to help neighbors help each other.

2. Using the Platform

Meutch is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. The people behind Meutch are volunteers. We do our best, but we cannot guarantee the platform will always be available, error-free, or suitable for every purpose.

3. Your Privacy

Meutch does not share your data with any other entity. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

4. Borrowing and Lending Is At Your Own Risk

Meutch connects people who want to share, but we are not responsible for what happens to items. If you borrow something and it breaks, gets lost, or is stolen, that is between you and the owner. If you lend something and it comes back damaged, that is between you and the borrower.

Our advice: Take care of other people's things. If you break or lose something you borrowed, make it right with the owner. If you are lending something valuable or sentimental, use your judgment about who you lend to. Meutch cannot insure or replace items.

5. What You Cannot List

Meutch is for sharing, not selling. The following are not allowed on the platform:

  • No commercial listings. Items may not be listed with the expectation of payment, trade, or barter.
  • No controlled substances. This includes alcohol, recreational drugs, and prescription medication.
  • No weapons. This includes firearms, knives intended as weapons, explosives, and similar items.
  • No items of a sexual nature. This includes toys, media, and any other sexually-oriented items. Nursing-related items are allowed.

6. Conduct and Content

Meutch is a community platform. To keep it welcoming and safe for everyone:

  • Be respectful of other users. Harassment, hate speech, threats, and abusive behavior are not tolerated.
  • Keep content G-rated. No profanity, no sexually-explicit material, no violence.
  • Post honestly. Do not misrepresent items, yourself, or your intentions.
  • Moderators and administrators reserve the right to remove content, suspend, or permanently ban users who violate these terms, at their discretion.

7. Age Requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to use Meutch.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will note the date of the latest update at the top of this page. Continued use of Meutch after changes means you accept the updated terms.
